I take great pleasure in inviting you to the 15th International Congress of the SAARC Psychiatric Federation(SPF) in Colombo, Sri Lanka. SPF has progressed in leaps and bounds and is a tight knit family of all the countries in the region, sharing expertise and best practices in Psychiatry in the South Asian region.

This year in particular, we will have a vibrant gathering of all the Psychiatrists from the region to celebrate our unity and single mindedness of purpose to improve the mental health of the region as per our theme  'Ensuring Quality Mental Health care in South Asia'.

We welcome you all warmly to be a part of this great international gathering amidst true south Asian hospitality and scientific deliberation. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity not to be missed!

It is with great pleasure that I invite you to attend the 21st annual academic sessions of the Sri Lanka College of Psychiatrists. This will be held from the 25th to 29th of July 2024 in Colombo. The theme of the conference will be ensuring quality health care in South Asia and it will be held in collaboration with the SAARC Psychiatric Federation.

We have an excellent academic programme and will include distinguished speakers from UK, Australia, Canada and the South Asian region. Dr Lade Smith, President of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK will be attending as the chief guest.

In addition, we hope that you will make use of this opportunity to explore our beautiful island. Our travel partner has arranged an exciting range of outings to different parts of the country which includes beaches, hill country as well as cultural heritage sites.

SRI LANKA - A LAND LIKE NO OTHER
